Dr. Alexander Herbert

Dr. Alexander Herbert is one of the founding partners of Koch, Schatz & Kollegen. Since early 2025, following decades as a full partner, he works as external counsel handling selected mandates in tenancy law, condominium ownership law, public building law, and civil service law. His academic career included years as a research associate at Goethe University Frankfurt, culminating in his doctorate. In 2008 he served as deputy State Counsel at the Constitutional Court of the State of Hesse (Staatsgerichtshof), and since November 2014 he has been a substitute member there for the court's non-judicial members. In 2010 and 2013 he was called as an expert witness before the Interior Committee of the Hessian State Parliament — a depth of legal understanding he continues to bring to his mandates today.
